What requirements should be met for Medicare to cover my bills?
Homebound – All patients must be homebound to be eligible for the home care benefit.
Alternate Care – The person must require services on a part-time, intermittent basis.
Medical Need – There must be a medical reason for an individual to receive home health care.
Physician Approval – Physician must order home care services and approve the plan of care to be provided by the home health agency.
Who Needs Home Health Care?
- Patients who need short term assistance after hospital discharge.
- Chronically ill, terminally ill, permanently disabled who wish to remain at home.
- Elderly, who due to illness or disability, need assistance in their home.
Who Pays For Home Health Care?
Insurance Coverage: We will verify upon receipt of any assignment of benefits.
Medicare/Medi-Cal: If you are eligible for home health care coverage through Medicare of Medical, our office will bill them directly.
Private Pay: When billed directly to you, Bonum Home Health Services in Burbank CA will provide you with a “BHHS” statement that clearly identifies visits and hours spent by our home health care professional. You pay only our per visit or per hour rate. We pay all taxes and insurance for our employees.
